The Guardian shuttle breaks up molecules of calcium bicarbonate into many small ions.
Thus heating water will no longer cause the formations of calcium carbonate, also known as
calcite, which is the substance responsible for scaling. In fact the magnetic shuttle causes a
new crystal to formâ€“ aragonite. This mineral is completely harmless and unlike calcite remains
dissolved in the water, it does not cause scaling on metal or heated objects and is carried away
along with the water itself.

Details

The Guardian Xcal Shuttle is a permanent magnet descaling unit specially
designed for wall mounted boilers units.
No mechanical intervention is needed for fitting, therefore its use is
particularly suitable for existing systems.

The Guardian Shuttle is applied by pushing it onto the 15mm diameter cold water inlet pipe.
In cases where there is not enough space between the wall and the boiler it is not even necessary
to remove the panel to fix the unit to the cold water inlet pipe. On tubes with diameters less than
15mm the Shuttle maintains its efficiency, because it is not possible to fix it automatically to the
tube cable ties or adhesive tape should be used.
